Our students visited NEW HOTEL

On December, an educational visit was organized at NEW Hotel in Syntagma, part of Donkey Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group, as part of the English for Hospitality module facilitated by Barbara Rentzou for first-year students of the Bachelor in Hospitality Management Programme at LEMOND College.

The visit marked the students’ first meaningful introduction and exposure to the contemporary hotel industry and the operations of a modern luxury design hospitality environment.

The students were warmly welcomed and guided through the hotel by the hospitable Front Office Manager, Vangelis Michaloudis, who shared valuable insights from his years of experience  into hotel operations and the demands of the hospitality sector.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the hotel’s wellness facilities, gym, and spa, as well as visit all room categories — from standard rooms to the impressive Presidential Suite. They also toured the hotel’s two restaurants, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the guest experience and the operational structure of a contemporary luxury hotel.

This experience provided students with valuable inspiration and practical knowledge, strengthening the connection between academic learning and the real-world hospitality industry.
